About the Project

Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on the beautiful shorelines of New Jersey, destroying historic boardwalks, idyllic beaches and countless homes. Having witnessed the devastation of neighboring beaches of Sandy Hook, Sea Bright and Long Branch, Allbriton Robbins  a resident of Atlantic Highlands and Hema Patel decided to embark on a project to both commemorate the lost boardwalks of the famous shore line and raise money for those most adversely affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Each piece of driftwood or broken boardwalk was collected in the aftermath of Sandy and is hand painted and labeled with the name of the beach where it was found.

Allbriton Robbins and Hema Patel are Creative Directors in New York City.

Donations are going to Sea Bright Rising, a local charity.
